Overview:

Danish football fans reading this will be smiling, safe in the knowledge that their defence should be solid for years to come, as Matthias Jorgensen is another exciting prospect for the nation.

Jorgensen, who stands an impressive 6’3” tall, is a calm, reliable central defender who, though he prefers being a centre-back, can also play on the right side of defence. Like the aforementioned Kjaer, he possesses decent technique and was compared to Liverpool's Daniel Agger owing to his ability to build from the back.
Jorgensen’s agility and stride make him a fairly fast player, but he is capable of being much quicker. He is extremely strong and confident in one-on-one situations, and his height and power make him a force to be reckoned with in the air.

He received the ‘players’ talent of the year award’ last season, and has since gone on to become a cornerstone of the Kobenhavn defence, earning rave reviews for his performances this term. He has technique and composure beyond his years, and many people have gone as far to say that the natural ability he possesses for his position is unmatched in Scandinavia.

Footie Frog would be surprised if the starlet does not go on to showcase his talent on a stage more impressive than the Danish Superliga in the next couple of years, but he is at the right club to get early experience of European football. From there, the sky is the limit…
